Here is the final render I did of the raptor once I (and the employee I was working with) was happy with the look of everything.
This was the second render I did upon altering the lighting however the intensity of the lighting was then too high.
After the lighting was added I did my first test render. I was then given feedback that the lighting was too yellow.
I added an image plane to the Maya scene to use as the background for the final render
This screenshot shows the nodes in Hypershade used to assign the textures to the raptor.
This was a pre-rigged model I was given of a raptor by Moonbug Entertainment to add the textures and lighting to as a practice.
